On Oct 31st 2010 I will be running in the 2,500th Athens Classic Marathon in Greece ...  That's 42.195 kilometers from start to finish.

My Reasons to Run my second Marathon  after promising my wife I would never do one again !!!!

  • This is the original Marathon  route from 490 BC
  • The Athens marathon is one of the most challenging in the world ( Heat + Hills)
  • I am my children’s role model
  • Running a marathon at 44 !  No mid life crises here
  • There are no greater challenges than the ones I place on myself, and none more satisfying to accomplish
  • How many events celebrate 2,500 years !!!
  • I was born in Greece
  • And the most important reason,  to raise money for Parkinson’s in memory of my father in law who passed away three years ago. His courage, faith and kindness to others continues to guide our family.
